Donate to the Calgary Womens Emergency Shelter

Santa's Workshop

Starting this week at Meez, we will be accepting donations at both of our stores for the Calgary Women's Emergency Shelter.  This initiative is part of their "Santa's Workshop" project.

Both stores will have collection baskets out to collect NEW items that are needed by the Shelter.  More women and children will make the Shelter their home over the holidays, and this is a list of items many of them will find they need once they arrive.

To learn more about how to help, you can go to their website.

This project is inspired by Anne Spelliscy, who has been quietly running her own "Santas Workshop" in Kelowna for the past few years.  Anne was diagnosed with "ALS" or "Amytrophic Lateral Schlerosis" over 20 years ago and despite the physical and emotional challenges this disease has presented her with, she still reaches out to help others as often as she can, but especially at this time of year.

You can learn more about Anne by going to "Annabelle's Armoire" and learning about her Women's Shelter Project in Kelowna and the army of angels that work with her there.

For those of you who prefer to make a cash donation, follow this link to our pledge page.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays
