Beef Wrap

Overview

This quick and easy beef wrap makes a great Saturday night dinner.  Add a salad and dinner is done!


Ingredients

2 Tbsp            butter

1 small            red onion, sliced

1                    portabello mushroom, sliced

1 small            red pepper, sliced

1 small            yellow pepper, sliced

3                     green onions, sliced

1                     tomato, diced

1 cup               aged cheddar, grated

1                     steaks, cooked

1 cup               sour cream

1 cup               salsa

4                     wraps

4 tbsp              cream cheese


Directions

  • Place the butter into a fry pan and heat until the butter is bubbling.  Add the onions and sauté until they become golden brown, 8 – 10 minutes.
  • Add mushrooms, peppers and cook for 5 minutes.  Add the tomatoes & green onions.  Toss together. 
  • Mix together the salsa and sour cream.
  • Take a the wrap and spread some cream cheese on one end. 
  • Cut the steak and place it into the middle of the wrap. 
  • Place the cheese on top and then the hot vegetables.  Squeeze the salsa mixture on top of the vegetables.
  • Fold the sides in and then roll, sealing it with the cream cheese.
  • You can place it into the oven or in a fry pan to crisp up the outside, if you are interested.
  • Cut in half and serve with extra salsa or sour cream.
